ECO4 grants in Leicester
We are able to install ECO4 grant measures through both Leon York Heating and Leon York Insulation.
These grants are government funded and accessible for those who either receive a qualifying benefit or are on low income. They aim to improve homes energy efficiency ratings as well as reduce fuel poverty across the UK.

If you're not currently in receipt of any benefits, you could still qualify as part of the Local Authority Flex scheme for low income households.
ECO4 grant criteria
In order to qualify for an ECO4 grant, you must meet all of the eligibility criteria:
- You are a homeowner or a rental tenant
- You receive a qualifying benefit from the list below.
- You meet any other criteria specific to the grant you are claiming
Qualifying benefits for insulation grants:
- Universal Credit
- Tax Credits (Child Tax Credits and Working Tax Credits)
- Pension Credit
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
- Income Support
If you meet this criteria, you will also need to check the specific requirements for whichever grant you are looking to claim.
- For Cavity Wall Insulation, you must have uninsulated cavity walls
- For Loft insulation, you must have an uninsulated loft
- For Under floor insulation, you must have at-least 50% suspended floors
- For First Time Central Heating, there must be No central heating system ever installed
- For Gas Boiler grants, your boiler must be old, broken or inefficient (typically 8+ years)
